HELLO!!
Here is the answer of your question

QUESTION - how does karate players can break a pile of tiles or a slabe of ice in single blow of his hands?

ANSWER -

The karate expert strikes the pile with his hand very fast. Thus the entire momentum of the fast moving hand is reduced to zero in a very short interval of time which exerts a very large force on the piles of tiles to break them...

Hope it helps you

By doing this, He or She increase the rate of change of momentum.

In doing so, the entire momentum of the hand is reduced to zero in a very short interval time.

So, according to the Second Law 0f Motion,
the resultant force delivered on the slab of Ice will be large enough to break it in a single blow.
