Who is the real executive of India and why?


ghostdad8: The real executive power is thus vested in the Council of Ministers with thePrime Minister as its head. In India,President is Constitutional Head . But as enshrined in Constitution ( Article 74 (1) , the president shall acts on the advise of Council of Ministers and Prime Ministerand shall act accordingly.

The Prime Minister is the real executive head of India because The President of India works on the aid and advice of thePM only.

In India President is known to be the head of the state however real powers of the administration lies in the hand of council of ministers which are known as real executive. As directed by the Article 74 A of the India constitution, The president shall work according to the advice of council of Ministers.
