Our eye can see objects only when there is a certain amount of light being reflected to our light.So,light is reflected from the object and enables us to see objects.

Light falls on the substance from any source the colour of the substance is reflected by it and rest of the colours are absorbed.The reflected colour reaches our eyes and makes it visible
