how does lightning occurs during thunderstorms

Heavier, negatively charged particles sink to the bottom of the cloud. When the positive and negative charges grow large enough, a giant spark - lightning -occurs between the two charges within the cloud. This is like a static electricity sparks you see, but much bigger.

that is due to stactic electric, it produce during the the excess of water got attract with each little drop and friction of dust particles which produce large amount of electric as similar when we rub our scale from our hair just it produce very little electric
