In angiosperms the mega mother cells form a tetrad of cell our of which only one stays rests all degenerate...
Then the cells divide mitotically ie- from 1-2 cells,2-4, 4-8.
Then the cells arrange themselves
3 on the upperside forming antipodals
3 on lowerside forming synergies and egg cell
2 in the centre forming polar nuclei
However the 2 in the centre fuses to form secondary nucleus having 2n as the ploidy .....
Thus 7 celled 8 nucleated
