How does Michael realize that Sebastian has recovered?

When he banged his head in the accident the computer had stored and saved his memory in its own.  Sebastian memory was stored on interactive psycho driven disks.  There disk were stolen, when Michael was playing the weird versions of those games, he was actually retrieving that memory.
