Moon has gravitational force hence it attracts the tidal waves to itself by gravitational force which makes the tides move towards the direction of moon.
Hence in this way moon affects the movement of tidal waves.

vishagh: Then y does the wave moves backward??
BrainlyPromoter: Due to rotation of moon around earth
BrainlyPromoter: sorry revolution of moon around earth
Anonymous: Bro earth too has gravitational force so it pulls them back
BrainlyPromoter: Earth and moon are like magnets and they repel
Anonymous: No gravitational force is attractive in nature
vishagh: Hmm..since distance of water from earth is soo close,so its gravitational force should be more compared to that excerted by moon, then how wpuld the moon be able to pull in the forst place?
Anonymous: Dear even moon has mass so it exerts a small force as compared to eartb hence water stays only on earth if it wouls be greater then all the water would have moved to moon
vishagh: i meant if two forces are acting on a body, the body moves only in the direction of larger force, then why should waves be formed?
