nervous tissue has ability to generate an electrical response to stimuli and to transmit electrical response. neurons are connected to each other and the other parts of body through synapse  and in muscular fibre it is known as neuromuscular junction

The tissue that received stimulus and transmit it from one part of the tissue to other are nervous tissue. the cells that constitute nervous tissue are called nerves cell or neurones.
These are highly specialised for receiving stimulus and then transmitted it very rapidly from one place to another.
