if we eat something then if some particles of the food is left in our teeth then by the action of bacterias them if you disagree did on it and when we to presence there is a basic nature present in toothpaste which help in utilise the action of the acid by the bacteria help it protect our teeth so this is a neutralization reaction on our teeth hope it helps you
