Here is your answer,

=============================================

They mostly feed on diatoms, algae, microscopic organisms and other dead organic matter present in water.

The mode of nutrition in amoeba is Holozoic.

Nutrition in an amoeba occurs through a process called phagocytosis where the entire organism pretty much engulfs the food it plans on eating up.

Amoeba consumes food with the help of pseudopodia . Pseudopodia are temporary finger-like projections of the cell surface, which fuse over the food particle.

It is inside this food vacuole that complex substances are broken down into simpler ones.

These are then diffused into the cell cytoplasm.

Digestion in amoeba is intracellular taking place within the cell.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOUU :)

AND STAY BLESSED.
