There are following steps of working of eye:

1) Firstly light rays enter our eye through conjuctiva and cornea.
2) Then they are focused through lens of eye.
3) The light rays get focused on retina.
4) Then nerve impulses produced in retina get transferred to brain through optic nerves.
5) At last brain interprets the image and finally image is formed in our brain.

Explanation:

When light hits the retina (a light-sensitive layer of tissue at the back of the eye), special cells called photoreceptors turn the light into electrical signals. These electrical signals travel from the retina through the optic nerve to the brain. Then the brain turns the signals into the images you see.
