The Indian Constitution protects the rights of women, minorities, children and weaker section by providing Fundamental Rights (Part III of the Constitution) which put them on an equal footing with other sections and groups within the society. Constitutional remedies have been provided for the enforcement of such rights. Moreover, the Directive Principles of State Policy (Part IV of the Constitution) put a mandate on the Government to make laws which lead to the upliftment of these sections.

SuhaniGore: 3rd party content
nayanj95: I don't know what you mean by third party content but if you mean that I've copied this answer from somewhere, you'll be pleased to know I'm a 5th year student of law and know the Constitution pretty much inside out. There is not a single sentence in the answer that has been lifted from anywhere and I urge you to find such "3rd party" sources and link them instead of posting such asinine comments.

Through reservation and fundamental rights are the correct answers.

The constitution of India has provided its citizen with some important fundamental rights (right to free-dom, right against exploitation etc.) so that the right of women, children, minorities and weaker section of society do not get collapsed. Moreover, in order to protect these sections from exploitation in the workplace or educational institutes, the Constitution of India has declared the reservation for them. As a result of this reservation policy, the weaker section of the society, women, children and minority can get better access to the facilities provided by the government.

This is how our constitution protects the rights of these people
