2. People feels they have much social difference between them.
3. They are difficult to resolve, hence there is disharmony between peoples.
Ex: Srilankan govt. Adopted the policy of majotarianism. Due to ignorance of Tamil speaking community, This led to a civil war.

overlapping difference happen when some social difference overlap other social difference when one kind of social difference become more important than the other and people start feeling that they belong to different community create deep social division for example blacks and whites.
