How does ozone layer protect us? what are the appliances whose use by us has harmed the ozone layer? how can we protect the ozone layer?
Answers
Answer:
The ozone layer acts as a filter for the shorter wavelength and highly hazardous ultraviolet radiation (UVR) from the sun, protecting life on Earth from its potentially harmful effects.

Hey there. its falak here. you must write an abriged version of my answer, in the exam.. my explaination is just my broad way of explaining things.. you need not copy the whole thing up..
ozone is a gas made of 3 molecules of oxygen (O3), which at the ground level, is a poisonous gas, but acts as a protective shield in our atmosphere.. So basically.. ozone layer is protective layer of 3 molecules of Oxygen present in the stratosphere, which prevents the harmful Ultraviolet (UV) rays, from entering the earth.. in recent years, human beings have been witnessing the depletion of ozone layer.. this depletion has been caused by another gas called ‘CHLOROFLURO CARBON’ (CFC for short), this gas responsible for causing the depletion of ozone gas, was earlier used in perfumes, Air conditioners and refrigerators.. their continous and horrendous use has led to it destroying the ozone in a bulk.. thats why.. in the recent years, its use has been banned.. you can go and see your perfume bottles.. at the back of those bottles.. you would clearly see something as such written.. ‘NO CFC IN THIS’.. same goes for the AC's and refrigerators.. Depletion of Ozone layer has mainly resulted in SKIN CANCER and MISCARRIAGES.. ozone layer is something which cant be made again by the humans.. even if we try to do so, it'd take millions of years for us to do that.. so scientists suggested that this process should be natural.. we should intervene the natural process of ozone formation.. we can protect ourselves from harmful uv rays, which have now entered the earth, by limiting or completely banning the usage of CFC, and wearing a proper amount of sunscreen while stepping out..
i hope i cleared your doubt.. :)
