how does planting of trees help in checking global warming

global warming is caused by the excess presence of gassses which absorb heat that is CO2 or carbon monoxide which causes glacier to melt and we also know that oxygen keeps it balanced and it is being released from tree as it's by product so by planting tree we can lower down the risk of global warming.
