Pollen grains develops in the flowers. As the anthers develop, four patches of pollen sac also develop with it. In these pollen sac, pollen grains develops. Four pollen sac develops within the anther of the flower. Within the pollen sac lies the microsporocyte. In the microsporocyte the pollen undergo some major changes. The microsporocytes change to form clusters or groups of four called quartets within the four chambers .
