Alagu and Jumman were good friends from childhood. 
    Alagu when became the headpanch in a panchayat held to solve the dispute between his best friend Jumman and Jumman's aunt. Jumman thought that Alagu will surely help him, but Alagu on that position understood the importance of justice and gave his verdict against Jumman which created a cold war against him. Jumman waits for an oppurtunity to take revenge.
     Alagu sold a bullock to Samjhu Sahu who did not take proper care of the bullock and overworked it.the bullock died. Alagu had not received the full amount so he asked for it. Sahu refused for it which made Alagu violent. Alagu went to the panchayat. Sahu nominated Jumman knowing the rivalry between Alagu and Jumman. Jumman on that position understood the importance of justice and gave the verdict against Sahu. 
 Alagu chose justice instead of his friend and Jumman chose justice over his enemity.
