the author shows that justice is most important than any old relations.in this story jumman and alagu are fast friends. Jumman had a maternal aunt who was illtreated by jumman .she kept this case in the panchayat being Alagu as a head panch has declared the judgement against jumman supporting the truth. This a courageous example to show that phanchayat has to feeling of enemity or friends.one day Alagu has sold his bullock to sahu on condition that money shall be after a month.sahu ill-treated the bullock causing to its death.SAHU HESITATED to give money so the case was taken to the panchayat being jumman as a head panch declared that it was sahu mistake supporting the truth.this shows that god lives in panch because a man cannot jutify truth keeping beside enemity felling.So the author is justified that god lives in panch
