The increase in pressure changes thestate of matter from gas to liquid and also from liquid to solid. But increase in pressure alone cannot change thestate of matter. Every gases and liquid have certain temperature above which the application of pressure would notchange the state of matter.

as for ex: when we give preasure on gas then they for into liquid and only providing a large pressure then it get formed into solid ice.
