To punish Prometheus for giving mankind this gift, Jupiter chained Prometheus onto a rock and sent an eagle to pull out Prometheus's liver. ... Thus, the reason as of why Prometheus doesn't see Jupiter as the shining almighty king of the gods as the narrator, who is human, sees it

Jupiter also known as Zeus , is the king of the sky.

He is a mighty tyrant. He sits over the clouds, spending time in idleness and drinking ambrosia.

Prometheus describes him as a very cruel person as he only thinks of himself. Mankind was shivering with cold, living in the holes of the earth and hunting each other . They didn't had fire and their life was even worse than animals.

Prometheus, talks to Jupiter about giving the Mankind fire so they could at least warm themselves, cook their food and build themselves houses.

Jupiter refused to give them fire as if Mankind got fire after a few days Mankind might become strong as the tyrants and throw tyrants away from their kingdom.
