A change in the temperature of sea water also contributes to a change in sea level because sea water expands at higher temperatures. As the atmosphere becomes warmer, the oceans will absorb some of the heat and increase in volume, which in turn leads to higher sea levels.

Answer:
Sea level rise is caused primarily by two factors related to global warming :- the added water from melting ice sheets and glaciers and the expansion of sea water as its warms.
