A sieve tube is made of sieve tubemembers, often abbreviated STM. Each STM is a living cell. They have to be alive because phloem transport only occurs in living cells with intact, functioning plasma membranes.

hey buddy !! here's your answer....

✔️sieve tubes don't have a nucleus . their activities are controlled by nucleus of companion cells. they both are closely related . they are connected through pit fields. companion cells help in maintaining the pressure gradient of sieve tube cells .

hope it helps !! ❤️✌️
