How does solenoid act as a magnet ? Can you find the north pole and South pole of current carrying solenoid with the help of a bar magnet ? Explain ?

solenoid acts as a magnet when current passes through an insulated copper coil.Yes ,a bar magnet can find the north pole and south pole of a current carrying solenoid with the help of bar magnet if the magnet is repelled the end is north pole of the solenoid and if the end is attracted the end is south pole of the solenoid.
