here is ur anwer :=

As a result, sound waves travel faster in solids than in liquids, and faster in liquids than in gasses. While the density of a medium also affects the speed of sound, the elastic properties have a greater influence on the wave speed. The density of amedium is the second factor that affects the speed of sound

hope it helps u ^_^

well I won't go in details but just understand it like this ....speed of Sound depends upon the intensity of vibrations made.. and as the medium changes.. the density changes so the vibrational energy changes and thus the speed changes as lesser the vibrational energy lesser will be the speed....want exact details just ask...

A1abcd: I want exact details
AvX6677: i would say google it cause i won't be able to explain it that much in an effective way....
AvX6677: well its a ch. that you need to concentrate at least half a month if you want to at least understand the concepts
