Terrace farming:
The type of framing in which the farming land is cut into a series of terrace or step like sloppy structure it is called Terrace farming.
Soil erosion occurs when the water with high velocity runs down washing the soil.
As many terrace or step like slopes are present in terrace farming it reduces the speed as well as the quantity of water moving over the soil surface as a result of which it checks soil erosion by preventing it.
