The activity series of metals finds use in displacement reactions and to determine reactivity of the
metals that is wether the given element can displace the other from its salt solution or not.
It is a chart of metals with decreasing reactivity.The uppermost element are more reactive then
elements lying below it.
For example,both magnesium and zinc metal can react with hydrogen ion to
displace H2 from its solution.
