How does the atmospheric pressure changes with altitude ?
Answers
Atmospheric pressure decreases with increases in the altitude. As we know that the density of air becomes heavier near the surface of the earth (due to gravity) and begins to lighten as we go to higher altitudes and eventually leads to empty space, i.e. outside the atmosphere of the earth. Thus, the atmospheric pressure is high at lower altitudes, the density being higher. The atmospheric pressure is low at higher altitudes, the density being lower.

Answer:
Explanation:
The pressure at any level in the atmosphere may be interpreted as the total weight of the air above a unit area at any elevation. At higher elevations, there are fewer air molecules above a given surface than a similar surface at lower levels.
So, as we go up at higher altitude the pressure decreases. ...
