By means of pulmonary artery and pulmonary veins, oxygenated and deoxygenated blood is circulated between the lungs and the heart in human beings.
Lymph actually acts as middle men that transports the food, oxygen and hormones to the body cells and brings the deoxygenated blood and other metabolic wastes and transmits it into the venous system.
