How does the chemical reactivity of halogens compare with that of the noble-gas family? ​

Tha hologens are located on tha left of tha noble gases on tha periodic table.... Because tha halogens elements have saven vlence electron, they only requre one additional electrons to from a full octet. this characterstic makes tham more teactive than other non -matels groups .

The chemical reactivity of halogens is more then nobel-gas, because the general configuration of halogen (17 group) and noble gas (18 group) is

ns^{2} {np}^{5} \:  and \: ns^{2} {np}^{6} \:   \\ repectively

where n=2,3,4,5... . we can observe in p orbital of halogen one electron is required to get stable so it will easily make chemical Bond with other elements but in case of noble gas their valency is already completely filled so, as they are already stable in general they can not make any Bond with other element.

Hence Halogen group elements are more reactive than noble gases.
