How does the density of a gas change with the rise in its temperature?​

Answer:

Since there are now more particles per cubic unit of length, the density increases. Also, when we increase the temperature of the gas molecules, we increase the energy of the molecules. As such, the Kinetic energy of the Molecules increase, which means the volume increases. This mean the intermolecular space increases.

On heating temperature increases. With the increase in T intermolecular distance increases and so intermolecular forces decreases (IMF). With the decrease in IMF the volume of gas gets increases.

We know the formula,

Density= Mass / Volume

From this we can understand that density is inversly propotional to volume. i.e, if density increases volume decrease and vice-versa.

So here volume increases so density decreases.

On rise in temperature the density of the gas decreases.
