The density of the liquid varies from one of the gas because in liquids the molecules are more closely packed than gases but in gas the gas are very loosely packed. The difference in density is due to difference in attraction force and intermolecular force.

As the temperature increases, volumes of most of the liquids also increases and when the volume increases density decreases. Similarly, when temperature decreases, the volume of most liquids decreases which increases the density
