the nephron of a kidney in the way it functions?

The dialysis machine is also called artificial kidney because it filters the blood in same way as done by healthy kidney.The dialyzer contain tubes through which blood passes and the walls of these tubes are semi porous as that of nephron.

Dialysis machine differs from kidney nephron because machine uses dialysis fluid of filtration and the filtration of blood is done outside the body.
