The sea affects the climate of a place. Coastal areas are cooler and wetter than inland areas. Clouds form when warm air from inland areas meets cool air from the sea. The centre of continents are subject to a large range of temperatures.

The Longer the distance from the sea, the more the temperature of the place. This is because nearness to the water bodies gives a cooling effect on the areas around which it is located and also controls the temperature of that particular place.
