Appearance of the Earth to the poet after hearing the cuckoo's voice:
The poem ‘To the Cuckoo’ is written by 'William Wordsworth' which is of happy memories. In the early spring, the poet hears the sounds of the cuckoo but the bird is not seen. He hears the joy of the bird from hill to hill. It reminds his childhood, a period of joy, innocence and wonder. The wandering voice of the bird takes him into an imaginary world, like a fairyland where only joy and happiness is prevailing.
When the poet was a boy, the 'Earth seemed to him unreal'. When he is grown up now, still it appears to be unreal. He says that the unreal Earth is the proper place for the bird to live.
