     The poem ‘To the Cuckoo’ by 'William Wordsworth is about happy memories. The poet hears the sound of the Cuckoo bird which brings back his beautiful childhood memories. However, the poet hasn’t seen the bird but only heard its voice.

     According to the poet, Earth as a place is fit for the bird. To him, Earth is an unreal place just like fairyland which is full of contradictions. Earth has many beautiful elements of nature such as mountains, rivers and valleys but at the same time it is affected by the modernization and industrialization which doesn’t allow humans to be free.
