Archeologists found the oldest known lock in the Khorsabad palace ruins near Nineveh. The lock was estimated to be 4,000 years old. It was a forerunner to a pin tumbler type of lock, and a common Egyptian lock for the time.

some kind of locks must have been used in ancient civilizations like Indian, Chinese and Egyptian but 1st locks we know about were used by Egypt aliens more than 4000 years ago. They were very large and were made of wood. digital locks consisted of two pieces, one cross-bar or bolt & another piece of wood with a slot in it. The key for this locks look like a very big toothbrush with wooden pin instead of bristels we have today. The locks were expertly made and could be opened with only the particular key made for each.
