Helen Keller was a very intelligent child. She had written a story named the Frost King for Mr. Anagnos for his birthday. Mr Anagnos wanted to publish this story, but it was later found that there was a similar story called the Frost Fairies in Miss Margaret T Canby's book, Birdie and his Friends. Helen was called to the court of investigation. She defended herself as she had not stolen the idea from Miss Canby's book. Mr. Anagnos, one of her most trustworthy friends thought that she had stolen the idea just to impress him. Miss Sullivan too, did not remember reading out the story to Helen. But it was found that Miss Sofie had read out the story to Helen in Miss Sullivan's absence. She did not have the book as she had sold her entire house and her property.
Helen was utterly shattered by this. She checked each line even when she wrote letters to her mother. She was very sad as she had lost her most loyal friend, Mr Anagnos. This incident was like a black cloud in her garden of childhood.

Hope this helps. :))
