Manufacturing industries is a part of secondary sector. It is the sector of the economy that makes direct use of natural resources.

While secondary sector(industries) recieve those natural resources by primary sectors.

Primary sector includes agriculture, forestry, fishing and mining. In contrast, the secondary sector manufactures goods and send them to tertiary services for transportation etc.

Manufacturing industries and production is just a next level of primary sector to utilise resources in a better way. It's necessary to use it in this way, as it would be perfect idea to organise production of agricultural goods and services.

Secondary sector also provides employment to nation.

So, by this relationship between manufacturing industries as secondary sector and agricultural activities as primary sector, we can conclude that manufacturing industries help to uplift the primary sector.
