How does the mechanism,of production of sound, in birds differ from that in human beings?

In human being the voice is produced by the vocal box/larynx and in the birds voice is produced by the syrinx.

In a human beings the sound is produced by the voice box or from the larynx but in birds the sound is produced by the ring of cartilage, called syrinx. hope this helps you
