How does the percentage error in a measurement depend on the least count of the measuring instument? Explain it with an example.

Lesser the least count of the measuring instrument, less is the percentage error in measurement. Therefore, more accurate measurement can be obtained by getting more number of significant figures in a measurement, i.e,
Percentage error=Least count of the instrument/Measured value*100
