how does the pH of acetic acid changes on addition of sodium acetate to it???

ph 1to 6.9 is acid
7 is neutral
7.1 to 14 is basic
so by addition of acetic acid ph is decrease

The pH of acetic acid is lower than 7 because of it's H+ ion concentration and it is an acid. It's formula is CH3COOH.

Sodium acetate is basic in nature and it's pH is greater than 7.
As you can see sodium acetate is CH3COONa of strong base NaOH and weak acid CH3COOH.
