How does the pressure exerted by a thrust depend on area of surface on which it acts ? Explain with a suitable example.

pressure exerted by a thrust is inversly proportional to the area of surface on which it acts .this can be explained by taking an example of a nail which hai pointed tip I.e area is too small so that it can be inserted easily in the wall as pressure exerted will be large even in small force
