When proximate to a land mass, this has the effect of cooling the air near the coast in summer and warming it in winter. At the very least, it modulates the rate of temperature change.

An ocean current is a continuous movement of ocean water from one place to another. Ocean currents are created by wind, water temperature, salt content, and the gravity of the moon.
