A short circuit is a sudden flow of large amount of current flowing through the circuit. This happens when both the wires of the circuit comes in contact with each other. This causes the conductor to heat up and often catch fire.

• When a high current flows through low resistance conductor or wire then release a large amount of energy in a short period this is called short circuit.

• A short circuit is very dangerous because high amounts of heat energy are released.

• A short circuit may lead to destroying the power supply.

• Some times Short circuit can lead to fire also.
