Speed of sound is proportional to the square root of (absolute) temperature T: In other words, the hotter the gas the higher the speed of sound. Higher temperature means the molecules/atoms move faster, so they bump to each other more often, transmitting sound more quickly.

it depends on nature of medium as when it travels from a denser medium to rarer medium it gets deflected and its wavelength decreases and it depends on temperature as the temperature increases the sound increases.
