The two gentlemen of Verona is a story that focuses on the author interested in the lives of boys, Nicola and Jacopo. In the story the author finds out that the war has destroyed everything that the boys had, yet they worked very hard for their living and their sister's treatment.

This story promises hope for the society to never give up. The two boys did not give up, instead they worked hard enough to earn a living. The boys were exposed to conditions that they never faced. This boosted up their spirit and help them rebuild their energy and work to live. The boys are well behaved and honest. The society requires these two boys, who are gentlemen in disguise.
