The stranger left the Coach and Horses inn after revealing the secret of his complete invisibility. First he revealed his invisible head by taking off the bandge. But when Hall summon Bobby Jaffers, the village constable, to arrest the stranger, the stranger pretended to surrender and took off his clothes. He too advantage of his invisibility, fought Jaffers and the other locals who were in the inn and managed to escape, eaving behind him complete chaos.
