fossils study perhaps  provides the best evidences yet that support the doctrine of organic evolution.

Paleontologists that have managed to discover the fossils of a number of organisms that  used to travel around on planet billions of year ago including the most popular of all, the Dinosaurs.

By applying various  methods  (radioactive carbon dating on fossil found is an example of fossil study) scientists are able to calculate the age of such fossils.

Comparisons that are made between the fossils of different time periods,  If you research at the fossils from the time when the Earth was just getting suitable for life to nourish, you will manage to find out the fossils of some prokaryotes.

Fossils study by palantologist suggest that marine creatures ,amphibians, ferns , angiosperms and gymnosperms had already evolved during Paleozoic era.

Mammals and dinosaurs came into existence only in the Mesozoic era(about 250 million years ago) that is proved by the fossil evidences.

This leads us to getting the that the organism that we see around today didn't come into existence at once.

The primitive organisms that have been here for  millions of years ago gradually evolved to give rise to the species that we see around us today.
