How does the test tube feel to the touch on adding water and NaOH?

When Water added to NaOH , there's Exothermic reaction occur.
Due to exothermic reaction heat energy realease .
For this reason , You feel Warm/Hot kinda temperate when You touch the Test Tube .

NaOH + H2O = Na+ and OH- ions

For this Breaking of NaOH molecule , heat energy released .
