The fuse wires are mainly used in the electrical fuse to prevent the overflow of the electricity in a particular electronic circuit.

The higher the electricity runs in an electronic circuit the higher resistance is required from the fuse wire to prevent the overflowing of that amount of electricity.

And higher resistance demands a larger and thicker fuse wire.
